Can I use my own boxes?

Of course you can! We just ask that the boxes you choose are as sturdy as the ones we sell. They must be made of double-walled cardboard which means you should see at least two layers of zigzags when you look closely at the edge of the box. Please don’t risk damage to your stuff by using any old box. Never use boxes, like crisp boxes, which were originally intended for another purpose. Your box needs to be heavy-duty, so if it’s second-hand, it’s probably not suitable. LOVESPACE packing materials are double-walled and made of corrugated cardboard and are designed to handle up to 25kg of contents. You can see see our full range of boxes and buy them here.

Can I get my packing materials delivered tomorrow?

Yes, we offer next day delivery (excluding Sunday) of cardboard boxes, bubble wrap and all other packing materials. Just make sure that you place your order by 11am the working day before you need them, and they’ll be with you in a flash! It’s always a good idea to order your materials as early as possible, so you have enough time to pack your stuff ahead of your collection.

What kind of boxes and packing materials do you provide?

The packing materials we provide are designed specifically for storage and transportation. Our cardboard boxes are made of double-walled corrugated cardboard for extra strength. We also sell specialist packing materials including boxes for suitcases, bikes, clothes, crockery and archiving. You can order your boxes, packing tape and bubble wrap by clicking here. Do I have to be present during the packing?

Yes, we always require you or your representative to be present during packing. We’ve packed for thousands of customer’s and we’ve learned that it’s the best way to ensure we pack precisely what you need us to. We will not take responsibility of what has (or hasn’t!) been packed on the day of collection. We’ll follow the instructions provided on the day.

When can you collect my stuff?

On our standard collection service your driver will be with you any time between 7am and 7pm on the date you request. So that we can collect your stuff, please ensure that you (or someone that you trust) is available for the full duration collection window. For most UK postcodes we’ll send you an 2-hours estimated collection time by email the day before your collection to help you plan your day. The cut-off time for next day collections is 11am the working day before. For Monday collections, please book before 11am the Friday before. From Monday to Saturday you can select a more specific timeslot for an extra charge.

Where can you collect my stuff from?

We can collect your stuff from any mainland UK address; be it your home address, a business address or your student halls of residence. To ensure a successful collection first time, make sure you enter your full address and an accurate postcode. It can also really help if you tell us that your home is in a gated complex and your driver will need to ring your buzzer for access, or if you’re leaving your stuff with a concierge, or in reception. Our standard collection service includes collection from the ground floor. Please make sure your stuff is packed and ready and waiting on the ground floor for your driver to collect. Will my driver call when they’re outside?

Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that you’ll get a call from your driver, so we always try and make sure that we get as much detail as we can to make sure there aren’t any problems that would require a call. To ensure everything runs smoothly, please tell us any special delivery instructions when you place your order. For example, letting us know your home is in a gated complex and your driver will need to ring your buzzer for access, or if you’re leaving your stuff with a concierge, or in reception.

How much does it cost to have my stuff delivered back?

Our standard delivery from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday starts from £5.95 per box and other item. If your stuff is being delivered to a location greater than 25 miles from the collection address, an additional charge of £5 per box or other item applies – bikes will cost an additional £60 per box. More specific timeslots, next day and Saturday deliveries are available for an extra charge. For some remote locations such as the Scottish Highlands, the delivery of your boxes and other items can take up to 2 working days.

How do I get my stuff delivered back to me?

Ordering a delivery is simple! All you need to do is follow these 5-steps: 1.Log into your LOVESPACE account 2.In the drop-down menu, found in the top right-hand corner of the screen, click “MY STUFF” 3.Then, click “WITH LOVESPACE”. You’ll see all your boxes currently in storage on this page 4.Choose the boxes you’d like to be delivered back to you and click “RETURN” 5.Select the address you’d like your boxes delivered back to and choose your delivery option. Be sure to select a date when you, or someone you trust like a receptionist, will be available throughout the full timeslot to sign for your delivery Remember you don’t need to take all your boxes back at once. Take what you need, and we’ll continue storing the rest. Lots of customers use us as an extension of their wardrobe and keep their bulky or seasonal stuff like Christmas decorations with us all year round.

Can you deliver my stuff back to a different address?

Yes. If you’re on the move, that’s no problem at all. We’ll deliver your stuff to the ground floor of any address you like within the mainland UK, be it your home address, a business address or student accommodation. There’re only some locations we can’t arrange delivery to, such as airports and train stations. All we need is a residential or commercial address, postcode and someone available to sign for your delivery. If your stuff is being delivered to a location greater than 25 miles from the collection address, an additional charge of £5 per box or other item applies – bikes will cost an additional £60 per box. To deliver your stuff to a different address, simply enter a new address when placing your order. 1. Packing Materials. You can order packing materials (and delivery) from us. You don’t have to use LOVESPACE materials, but we encourage it.

2. Storage. You tell us how much you want to store and for how long. You can also choose the level of contents cover you’d like when you book. You pay for the first month’s storage up front, and then get charged monthly thereafter. The longer you agree to store, the bigger the initial discount. Generally, when your price plan is up, your monthly price will revert to the undiscounted price – but let us know if you need to extend and we can usually find you a better price.

Please note, once we collect your stuff, we’ll check it at the storage facility. If there is anything different from what you ordered (say you ordered 5 small boxes and sent us 15 large sofas or vice versa!), we will update your account and only charge you for what you’re storing. The price may be different, and we will notify you. You can then confirm the pricing on our website.

3. Collection. Standard collections are generally FREE, but if you want collection the next available day or on a weekend, there is usually a surcharge, which you will see before you book.

4. Delivery. When you want your stuff back, there is a per item delivery charge that starts at €6.95 per item. We know it’s not free like the collection is, but we think it is fair. If you want your stuff back the first available day, or on the weekend, or at a specific timeslot, the price will be higher. If you are moving a long distance (more than 25 miles) from where we collected your stuff, a €6 per item surcharge applies. You’ll see these prices before you book.

Please note, if your storage plan isn’t finished when you get your stuff returned, you will be charged for any remaining balance on that price plan. Remember, this is because the longer your store, the bigger the discount. If, however, the total cost would have been less on a shorter plan (i.e. a higher monthly price, but lower overall cost), don’t worry. We’ll recalculate that and credit you the difference.
