Is there a weight limit for my boxes or other items?

Accepted Answer

To make sure that your stuff is perfectly safe ‐ and out of concern for the backs of the collection and delivery team ‐ your boxes must not exceed 25kg, which is the same weight as the checked baggage allowance for most major airlines. If you've heavier or larger items we may still be able to help. Select the appropriate item type in “Other Items” and where necessary include a description of the item including its weight and size.

What kind of boxes and packing materials do you provide?

The packing materials we provide are designed specifically for storage and transportation. Our cardboard boxes are made of double-walled corrugated cardboard for extra strength. We also sell specialist packing materials including boxes for suitcases, bikes, clothes, crockery and archiving. You can order your boxes, packing tape and bubble wrap by clicking here. Can I have a list of stuff I have in storage?

Yes. If you’re unsure what you’ve inside each box, we can audit your order. Checks that don’t require your box to be opened, such as checking the precise size of a box or other item, cost £3 per box and other item. All other audits or inventory checks cost £5 per box and other item. If you need us to create an inventory of your stuff, drop us an email.

Can I store stuff other than boxes?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can store pretty much anything with us. What we’re able to store depends on where we’re collecting from which is why we ask you to input your collection postcode at the beginning of the order process. Where possible you’ll need to pack your stuff into a box. That goes for bags, suitcases and bikes. We sell specialist boxes for this stuff that you can order from us. Furniture doesn’t need to be in a box (that would be silly!) but we do need you to help us by wrapping it appropriately for transport. If you’ve got furniture or any other stuff that doesn't fit into a box, you can always check out our storage units. We'll be able to accommodate your request should you need more space. Where do you store my stuff?

Your stuff will be kept safe and monitored 24/7 by CCTV in a secure storage facility. The safety of your stuff is our greatest priority which is why we work with best-in-class partners with decades of experience. We’ll choose a storage facility that's suitable for the stuff we’re storing for you and one that's local either to your collection or delivery address.

When can you collect my stuff?

If you order before 11am, you can order your collection for Monday to Saturday, 6 working days from the booking date. Your collection will take place between the hours of 9am - 6pm, but we'll send you an SMS the day before your collection providing you with a 2 hour slot for when your collection will start.

Is there anything I can’t store?

Accepted Answer

We’ll store just about anything. We’re the UK’s storage experts so we also know what we can’t accept. Here’s a list of stuff that you mustn’t send in. All food and perishable goods including sauces (e.g. soy sauce and ketchup) Liquids that are above 100ml, have been previously opened and/or not deemed to be in a secure container Birds, fish, animals or any other living creature Explosives, firearms, weapons or ammunition (including but not limited to replicas, imitations and blank firing pistols) Any item which emits fumes, smell or odour Any illegal substances or goods illegally obtained Combustible or flammable materials, any liquids or compressed gases, including but not limited to: paint, diesel, petrol, oil, gas, alcohol, artificial fertiliser or cleaning solvents Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents or hazardous materials, including items containing mercury. Toxic waste, asbestos or other materials of a dangerous nature Any other toxic, flammable or hazardous substance or preparations, classified as such under applicable law Tobacco Money, deeds, securities, stamps, coins, or goods or collections of any similar kind Cash, credit or debit cards White goods and appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers and washing machines that have not been thoroughly emptied, cleaned and/or defrosted prior to collection Any items that won’t fit through the door Click here to see our full Terms of Service outlining in greater detail what we can’t accept.

What if I don’t know what unit size I want?

Do you dismantle furniture?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do! Simply add on our professional packing service when you book a storage unit and we’ll disassemble, wrap and pack up your items on collection day. For storage units under 50sqft, we will disassemble up to 5 items. For storage units 50sqft and over, we will disassemble up to 10 items. We do not disassemble antiques, pianos, or fitness equipment. For disassembly, we'll disassemble up to 5 of your items. If you need more, give our team a call. Please note - we won't be able to reassemble your furniture when it's delivered back to you.

Do I need to have a lift if I live in a flat?

Are delivery prices the same as collection charges?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our delivery prices are the same as the collection, though additional surcharges and mileage fees may apply.

How quickly can you deliver my stuff back?

Accepted Answer

You can order a delivery for your stuff from Monday to Saturday, for 3 working days from the booking date. However, delivery times can vary depending on the size of your storage unit and the distance of delivery. Please contact us if your preferred date isn't available.

Can I get my stuff delivered back?

Yes, of course. Deliveries within 25 miles of your collection address of furniture or any stuff that doesn’t fit into boxes starts from £85. Local returns are priced on the volume of the delivery: Up to 100ft3 costs £99 Up to 200ft3 costs £149 Up to 400ft3 costs £279 Up to 600ft3 costs £414 Up to 800ft3 costs £549 Deliveries more than 25 miles from your collection address cost more. Find out more details here. Delivery of a few boxes to the ground floor starts from £6.95 per box. These deliveries are between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday. Fridays, Saturdays or the first available delivery day cost more. We can also deliver to a different location than your collection address. However, any delivery to an address more than 25 miles from the collection address will be charged an additional fee per mile: I.Up to 200ft3 costs £1.90/mile II.Up to 400ft3 costs £2.30/mile III.Up to 600ft3 costs £3.00/mile Deliveries of 600ft3 or more will require a bespoke quote.
